Optional Certification Programs |
For those who wish to certify, the following certification programs are available: CPSD - In 2010, ISM introduced the Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) designation for supply management professionals whose responsibilities include supplier diversity, and also for business professionals whose responsibilities include strategic diversity initiatives. CPSM - Since 2008, ISM has offered the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation, which is known throughout the world. It is also available to those outside of an organization's purchasing/materials management department with definite procurement (supply chain management) responsibilities. This program focuses on supplier relationship management, finance, commodity management, organizational global strategy, risk and compliance issues and social responsibility. C.P.M. and A.P.P. Recertification - Individuals already having the C.P.M. and/or A.P.P. professional designations may continue to apply for recertification or lifetime recertification. The Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) designation focuses on entry-level buyers primarily engaged in the tactical or operational side of purchasing/materials management. The Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation focuses on the managerial, administrative, and strategic, as well as tactical aspects of the purchasing and materials management function. |
